Barcelona does not come to rest.
Again there were riots during protests in the Catalonian capital.
It is already the sixth night of the riot in a row: Again there were violent clashes between demonstrators and the police.
Thousands of people have been protesting for days in many parts of Spain against the arrest of the rapper Pablo Hasél.
Hasél was sentenced to nine months in prison for insulting the former King Juan Carlos and glorifying violence.
The rapper invokes freedom of expression.
He is supported by other cultural workers:
Roc Blackclock, Graffiti Artist
»It is just clear that there is a lot to do here. We are very late. Because it's not a new thing. The Pablo Hasél case made it obvious again, but there are already others who have also been imprisoned for years. "
Since the passing of the »Law for the Protection of the Security of Citizens« in 2015, artists, Youtubers and journalists have repeatedly ended up in the dock.
Toni Marin, bank clerk
»These graffiti show what our society really thinks: We are for freedom of expression - but also against the freedom to destroy.
It's good to protest, but keep it peaceful.
«
