"Where have we come from?": Detention of five suspected boys who attacked racially motivated foreign workers
The five, most of them under the age of 16 and with no criminal record, are suspected of several cases of violence against the workers who lived in an apartment in Ramla out of hatred, and filmed the acts.
Police representative: "This is one of the ugliest and most dangerous cases in recent years."
The judge wondered, "Is that what they do today instead of going to school?"

The detention of five boys aged 15-16, suspected of attacking Chinese construction workers in Ramla on the basis of their origin, was extended today (Tuesday) in the Magistrate's Court in Rishon Lezion until tomorrow.
The police attribute to them offenses of mere assault, demand with threats of property, willful damage to property and violation of a legal provision.
Among the five boys are two brothers, most of whom are under 16 and have a criminal record.
According to the suspicion, they beat the workers living in an apartment in the city and harassed them, and even filmed the acts on their cell phones.
At least seven such videos were found.
Judge Erez Melamed did not spare harsh words about the acts.
"I was watching some of the videos now, where did we get to?", The judge wondered, "is that what they do today at 16 instead of going to school?".

A police spokesman at the hearing said it was "one of the ugliest and most dangerous cases in recent years".
He claimed that the incidents, which included stone-throwing and physical violence, took place over a two-month period, motivated by hatred.
"This is an attack on the basis of hatred for the reason that it is not Israeli citizens and the victims are foreigners from China," he said. "The minors actually beat the Chinese workers. ".
"The victims are very worried. One of the victims of the attack, a foreign worker from China, left the city of Ramla out of fear," the police representative added.
An unusual incident was recorded at the beginning of the hearing, after the judge removed two of the minor families from the courtroom after one entered the court without a mask and another because he was talking on the phone.
Earlier, court security guards took out several of the suspects' families, who smoked in the bathroom at the trial.
