The Haifa Magistrate's Court today (Tuesday) reduced the restraining order on the investigation of the tar leak in the Mediterranean, which led to serious pollution on the shores of Israel and the deaths of hundreds of animals.
The court revoked the order after the Walla!
NEWS and other media outlets, to be represented by Adv. Elad Mann.
Judge Dr. Zaid Fallah revoked the order, allowing any information originating from an independent media investigation to be published, but forbidding the publication of information originating from the investigating authorities or information related to the investigative methods.
The judge also suggested that the investigating authorities use materials that came up in the media to advance the investigation.
