The Ecuadorean police announced that fifty prisoners were killed today during a revolt in three prisons in the country.

The criminal police said in a tweet on its website, and the Agence France-Presse reported that 50 people were killed among the prisoners during unrest in three prisons in Guayaquil in southwestern Ecuador, and Quenza and Latunga in the south of the country.
