Inspired by the concept 45 revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2019, the Ioniq 5 crossover does not lack allure with its forms devoid of aggression and its 20-inch wheels positioned at the four corners.
Based on the E-GMP platform serving Hyundai's electric offensive, this vehicle is 30mm longer (4.63m) than the latest Tucson and as tall as the Nissan Qashqai (1.60m).
Thanks to its electrical architecture marked by a flat floor and its generous wheelbase (3 meters long), the Ioniq 5 offers record space.

To meet the multiplicity of needs, Hyundai will offer several versions of the Ioniq 5 crossover based on two battery models, 58 kWh and 72.6 kWh.
The entry-level version is based on a 125 kW (170 hp) electric machine installed on the rear axle and making Ioniq 5 a rear-wheel drive.
A 4WD version is also available with the small battery.
It combines a 53 kW (72 hp) engine at the front and 120 kW (163 hp) at the rear.
In this case, 100 km / h is reached in 6.1 seconds, 2.4 seconds less than the rear-wheel drive version.

For its part, the 72.6 kWh battery is also available in rear-wheel drive and with four-wheel drive.
In the first case, it is associated with an electric machine of 160 kW (217 hp), which allows a 0 to 100 km / h in 7.4 seconds.
The second option, the most efficient (0 to 100 km / h in 5.2 seconds) combines a 70 kW (95 hp) engine at the front and 155 kW (210 hp) at the rear.
According to the manufacturer, it allows a range of around 470 km.
Thanks to its platform compatible with 400 and 800 V recharging infrastructures, Ioniq 5 will be able to recharge its battery to 80% in 18 minutes on a 350 kW fast terminal.
Motorists will be able to recover 100 km of autonomy per 5 minutes.
Finally, Ioniq 5 embeds the V2L reverse charger technology which allows any type of electrical device to be used or recharged, whether stationary or while driving.
The first model of the Ioniq electric family, this crossover will be marketed at the end of the first half of 2021.
