"Israel Hayom" has learned that vaccines have been transferred to the medical staff at the US at the request of the Americans.
The Prime Minister's Office announced today (Tuesday) that over the past month a limited amount of unused vaccines has accumulated and therefore "it has been decided to assist a symbolic amount of vaccine to Palestinian Authority medical teams and to some of the countries that have approached Israel."

Among the countries are Honduras and the Czech Republic, which will open an economic interest office in Jerusalem in early March, which will be an branch of the embassy.
The bureau noted that "many applications" have been received from countries around the world to Israel for assistance in supplying vaccines and no significant ability is expected to assist at least until the vaccination campaign in Israel is completed.
The transfer of vaccines to the Palestinian Authority follows a conversation last night between US Secretary of State Anthony Blinkan and his Israeli counterpart Gabi Ashkenazi.
The conversation led to the acceleration of the process with the Palestinians, since there was an intention to transfer to them anyway.
When Ashkenazi updated him last night on Israeli activity in the matter, Blinkan was pleasantly surprised.
To date, about 2,500 vaccines from the Israeli stock have been transferred to the PA, and another 2,500 will be delivered in the future. A total of 5,000 vaccines will be delivered to each country.
