The President of Colombia, Iván Duque, tells Andrés Oppenheimer that the objective of the Temporary Protection Statute for Venezuelan migrants - which he announced on February 8 - is to integrate these people into Colombian society and to have a greater commitment to the laws from that country.
"I believe that Colombia today is showing that a coherent, congruent, responsible, humanitarian, and above all, intelligent migration policy can be carried out," said the president.
