On Saturday, Mexico received a shipment of 200,000 doses of the vaccine manufactured by the Chinese laboratory Sinovac.
Previously, Mexico City received shipments of the vaccines from Pfizer / BioNTech, AstraZeneca and CanSino, a Chinese laboratory.
Mexico began on December 24 to vaccinate medical personnel caring for people with Covid-19.
On February 15, he began vaccinating people over the age of 60, who number more than 15 million, according to official figures.
The Mexican government hopes to complete the vaccination of this category of the population by mid-April.
Mexico, with a population of 126 million, has administered 1,733,404 doses of vaccines against the coronavirus to date.
Since the start of the epidemic, it has recorded 2,043,632 cases of contamination and 180,546 deaths, making it the third country in the world in terms of deaths linked to Covid-19.
