The restriction of entry will apply until a technological solution is found or the isolation obligation in hotels for returnees from abroad is restored, due to the fear of corona mutations entering Israeli territory. This is a significant change in policy.
Deputy Health Minister Yoav Kish yesterday attacked the decision of the Constitution Committee not to extend the declaration of isolation in hotels that will expire tonight at midnight. "Home isolation for returnees from abroad is not effective enough. We find too many violations. Everyone is afraid of introducing different variants "Opening a gate to the variants. This is a wrong and very dangerous decision for public health."
Kish made it clear that he supports the possibility of a digital bracelet as an alternative to isolation, subject to legislation.
"The government's solution is for everyone to go to a hotel and those who receive a negative test can go out and isolate a house using a digital bracelet. Let's lead fast legislation within a week of carrying a house bracelet for those who come out with a negative answer in a hotel.
