“Every day we have files of mules without being able to trace back to sponsors, remarks the public prosecutor during his requisitions before the criminal court of Créteil (Val-de-Marne) Monday afternoon.

In the box, the three defendants, Rhudy, Yann and Carine, bow their heads.
Until then unknown to justice for cases of importing cocaine, they were respectively sentenced to two, four and five years in prison for kidnapping a couple.
Facts related to the importation of white powder, most often thanks to mules.
Rhudy, exonerated in the kidnapping and forcible confinement case, was only prosecuted for conspiracy.
The prosecutor had required two, five and six years of detention.
Pressure exerted on the young woman after a first delivery
At the center of this case, a victim and her new boyfriend, who were kidnapped as soon as they got off the plane, an Air Caraïbes flight, from Cayenne (Guyana), on May 23, 2019, in Orly.
The affair started a few months earlier for the young woman then in a relationship with Rhudy.
In November 2018, she made her first trip as a mule with several canisters of cocaine in her stomach.
Arrived in the Paris region, she is taken care of by Carine, who collects the goods.
The couple went back to live in the Bordeaux region with 7,500 euros in their pocket.
But Rhudy, who admitted to the hearing "to have put him in contact with Carine who was looking for mules for her traffic", wants more.
The young woman leaves for Guyana with a plane ticket paid for by the little gang.
On the spot, her new boyfriend manages to dissuade her and explains that he will reimburse the expenses, or nearly 900 euros.
Despite the pressure, she doesn't give in to the gang's abuse.

However, when they get off the plane, a welcoming committee awaits them.
Yann, the henchman, with two unidentified accomplices, takes the couple to a hotel in Créteil.
Carine, visible on the video surveillance images of the airport, monitors the scene from a little further away.

In the bedroom, at the threat of a weapon - "it was a lighter in the shape of a pistol, it's very small", proclaims Yann - the new boyfriend must perform a vaginal search.
The couple then have to swallow laxatives to make sure they haven't brought in any canisters of cocaine.
One is put in the tub, the other is sitting on the trash can, waiting for the drugs to take effect.
The criminals do not want to lose the drugs, even if the victims claim that they have not taken anything.
The couple notify the police
Then, under the threat of the weapon, never found, the man will withdraw money to pay the debt.
"From 900 euros, we went to 3000 euros," recalls the prosecutor.
This fine should cover the costs in some way.
At 7 p.m., the couple is left alone with the ban on going out, without their papers and suitcases.
Despite this, they go to file a complaint at the police station.
The police will pick up Yann the next morning while he was returning to the hotel room.

Carine, a mother of five living in Bonneuil-sur-Marne, identified thanks to video surveillance images and numerous exchanges with Yann, an occasional lover, will be arrested in the process.
