The workshops of the General Organization for Drinking Water and Sewerage in Deir Ezzor began rehabilitating the reservoirs of the Jabal site in the city that was damaged by terrorism.
The Director General of the Water Corporation, Engineer Rabie Al-Ali, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the corporation has begun work on rehabilitating the three water tanks in the Al-Jabal site in Deir Ezzor city, which has stopped working for more than 10 years as a result of terrorism, pointing out that the total capacity of the tanks reaches 15,000 cubic meters. .
Al-Ali pointed out that the project aims to increase the stability of the water network and ensure a high and constant pressure of drinking water towards the city of Deir Ezzor due to the high level of reservoirs from the city's neighborhoods by about 35 meters and calibrate the distribution of the water compressor in all neighborhoods in addition to enhancing the water supply towards the eastern neighborhoods, as well as the reservoirs contributing Providing reserves of drinking water to feed the city in case of emergency.
In turn, the head of the maintenance department at the foundation, Assef Zaitoun, explained that the project includes the implementation of maintenance work for damaged roofs and concrete walls in tanks and the replacement of waste products, valves and lines in stalagmites and stalagmites, indicating that the estimated time for completion of rehabilitation work is 60 days, which will be put into service at the end of next April .
It is noteworthy that the Water Corporation rehabilitated 64 drinking water stations in the countryside and cities of Deir Ezzor Governorate.
