Tehran - SANA
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani reiterated that his country is using the capabilities of science and technology centers to serve the country and not for military purposes.
Iranian News Agency IRNA quoted President Rouhani as saying in a statement during a meeting of the Supreme Council for Cultural Revolution that Iran does not have an expansionist ideology towards the components of the defense and military force, pointing out that “the aim of drafting the comprehensive document in the defense field is to employ the capabilities that exist in the science and technology centers in the country. “.
Rouhani stressed the exchange of roles and services between scientific, civil and even private centers in meeting the needs of the armed forces in addition to the services provided by the military sector to the civil sector, including the economy and industry, describing the matter as "valuable experience."
The Iranian president pointed out that in the circumstances in which some countries and powers seek to dominate the world and expand the element of military and armament power, and with this motive entered into competition for sovereignty and the arms race with each other, Iran, based on its beliefs, "does not and will not think about such a goal."
