At 5 o'clock in the morning, when a staff member returned to open the shop at the "Beihe Walker" tea restaurant on the ground floor of No. 278 Danan Street, Sham Shui Po, he discovered that the shop was suspected of being burglarized and reported the case.

The police arrived at the scene and assisted in counting. Initially, about 2,000 yuan in cash was suspected of being stolen.

The police are investigating the incident and do not rule out that the culprits sneaked into the tea restaurant from the back alley earlier to commit the crime. No one has been arrested yet.

Mr. Chen Zhuoming, the owner of Beihe's counterpart, known as "Sham Shui Po Ming," assisted the police in the investigation in the shop.

Ming Ge originally ran a siu-mei restaurant on Beihe Street. During the period, he distributed meals to people in need in the district, including the elderly, street sleepers and refugees, and provided cheap meals to the neighborhood.

Subsequently, Ming's subsidiary store on Beihe Street was forced to relocate due to the rent increase by the owner. Finally, the owner of the same street gave up the shop and allowed Ming to continue operating at the original rent.

The shop is now Beihe.

Peking North is now a charity social enterprise, that is, a government-recognized charity organization that operates on a self-financing basis.

As for Ming Ge's original siu-mei shop, it also moved to the opposite road from Beihe.

Because of his charity, Ming Ge was awarded an Honorary Fellow by Lingnan University in 2017.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board also introduced Pei He on its website: "The boss Ming Ge's charitable deeds have been praised by the neighbors. He spared no effort to help people in need in the district by sending them meal coupons and lunch boxes. In 2016, because Rents have risen sharply, and the restaurant is facing a crisis of closure. Fortunately, thanks to the sponsorship of enthusiastic neighbors, it was possible to rent another store to allow the spirit of charity to continue."
