Presence of the imagination in its vast dimensions as an inspiration for writers, poets and scholars, axes addressed in the lecture held by the Homs branch of the Arab Writers Union by the poet and writer Mahmoud Naqsho.
Naqsho considered that what combines experimental and human sciences is the unbridled imagination that has no limits and without it there is no creativity in science or literature, pointing out that the scientific achievements stemmed from science fiction stories and films, all the way to space and modern technology.
Naqsho mentioned that some societies seek the help of science fiction writers to solve their future problems based on their imaginary ideas, which will someday turn into reality, including those stories that talked about accurate achievements in medicine and others and about the emergence of epidemics that kill humanity.
It should be noted that “Naqsho” is a chemical engineer and a member of the Arab Writers Union. He has ten collections of poetry and a number of books, including “Theories in the Dock” and “The Age of Abstraction”.
