The French “
whatever it costs
” still has a bright future ahead of it.
"

" insisted Labor Minister Élisabeth Borne on Tuesday in the morning of
Europe 1

Faced with the uncertainty about the health situation, the executive decided last week to extend the current rates of partial activity to March.
Employers in administratively closed sectors do not have to bear any out-of-pocket expenses, while the 15% out-of-pocket rate will continue to be applied for other sectors.
Telework to avoid re-containment
Asked about good respect for teleworking, Élisabeth Borne explained that a new meeting will be held this Friday with the sectors which play “
the least the game
”: banking, insurance, consulting and engineering.
Without disclosing the name of the targeted companies, the minister indicated that the labor inspectorate would strengthen checks this week.
A breach of the rules may give rise to formal notices, or even to "
judicial summary proceedings
".
“
Strengthening teleworking is a good response to avoid re-containment.
Studies show that the risk of contamination is reduced by 20 to 30% when employees are teleworking,
”she said.
Finally, on the thorny issue of unemployment insurance, Élisabeth Borne indicated that the Ministry of Labor will meet next week with employers' and union organizations to take stock of the schedule.
If the Covid-19 crisis has postponed its application, the minister considers that this reform is "
necessary, in particular to fight against the excessive use of employers to short contracts
".
