Venezuela announced the discovery of a spy working for Colombia, renewing the warning against the CIA's attempts to target its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The Venezuelan Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino, also denounced the Telesur channel, which broadcasts from Caracas, of Colombia's attempt to violate the sovereignty of his country “by recruiting Captain Ronald Marrero to obtain sensitive information about the multi-tasking fighter / Su-30MK2 / designed to destroy air, land and surface targets using weapons. Guided and unguided air strikes, ”noting that the administration of Colombian President Ivan Duque was behind several assassination, sabotage and espionage attempts in Venezuela.
And Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who has repeatedly stressed that Colombia is preparing plans aimed at destabilizing Venezuela and turning against the legitimate authorities, announced last Wednesday that his country's army is ready to defend its sovereignty in the event of any aggression from Colombia.
In the same context, Padrino confirmed that the CIA was involved in the attacks against Venezuela, stressing that "any attempt to violate the territorial integrity of Venezuela will have a strong response."
The Telesur channel revealed that Colombian intelligence has so far contacted more than 538 members of the Venezuelan army to obtain information that allows sabotage and disruption of many weapons systems that Venezuela uses to defend itself.
