20 passengers who landed today (Wednesday) at Ben Gurion Airport after arriving from the United States, tried to enter the country with fake permits - and will follow in their footsteps tonight.
An investigation of the details of the case shows that these are two families, one of whose members are not Israelis at all - and these will be returned to the US tonight. Some members of the other family are also not Israelis, but it was decided that their case will be dealt with individually.
It is important to emphasize that airlines are not allowed to take passengers on flights to Israel without the approval of the Exceptions Committee.
Earlier this week, there were more cases of passengers from New York arriving in Israel with fake permits.
The Population Authority responded: "On a United flight that landed from New York, two families arrived. One family of foreign nationals, aged 13, presented fake exceptions to the Exceptions Committee, and their entry was denied. They are scheduled to board a flight back tonight. A second family, including an Israeli mother "A foreign father and six children also arrived with the approval of a fake exceptions committee. The issue is being addressed on a spot-by-point basis based on their data. Either way, police have been called in to deal with the forgery of documents - which is a criminal offense."
