The Head of State had promised to participate in "an anecdote competition" if the clip of the two YouTubers recalling the barrier gestures crossed the bar of 10 million views. It's done.

Challenge met.

The famous youtubers McFly & Carlito have succeeded in the bet launched by Emmanuel Macron.

The latter had offered them to make a clip recalling the barrier gestures to fight against Covid-19.

If the video exceeded the bar of 10 million "views", the head of state had promised them to participate in a

"competition of anecdotes" -

a format that often comes up on the McFly & Carlito channel.

The threshold was crossed overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, three days after going online on Sunday.

A little before 8 am, the two YouTubers even approached eleven million views.

Revenues donated to an association

This bet, then the clip posted, baptized

“I remember”

, was the subject of criticism.

Many saw it only as a communication stunt from the Head of State to try to reach young people, with a view to the presidential election.

In a video announcing the challenge, Mc Fly & Carlito had also asked their followers not to be

"fooled about everything that happens"

.

“You have your free will, you are not influenced in any way,”

they wanted to emphasize.

The proceeds generated by the clip will be donated to Agoraé, a network of solidarity grocery stores for students in difficulty.
