Commissioned by President Bashar Al-Assad, the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Abdel-Karim, participated in the funeral of the late Arab militant and thinker Anis Al-Naqqash this afternoon to his final resting place in Ghobeiry in the Lebanese capital Beirut.
During his participation in the Shiite ceremony, Ambassador Abdul Karim offered President al-Assad's condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased, who thanked President al-Assad for this generous gesture, which had a good effect on their condolences.
Large crowds from all Lebanese regions participated in the funeral, representatives of Lebanese parties, forces, personalities, Palestinian factions, and a large crowd of political, cultural, media and social events.
In his speech at the ceremony, the President of the International Federation of Resistance Scholars, Sheikh Maher Hammoud, praised the pioneering history of the late in the ranks of the resistance and in supporting the Palestinian cause and standing by Syria, the Iranian Islamic Revolution, and the just causes of the nation and the world's free people.
Sheikh Hammoud indicated that the nation's heroes, including the late Nakkash, paved the way towards the liberation of Palestine, our occupied land and our sanctities from the Zionist occupation.
After that, a prayer was held over the body of the deceased, Al-Tahir, to be buried in the new Al-Harj cemetery in Beirut.
It is noteworthy that the debate, known for its nationalist positions in support of Syria and the Palestinian cause, was born in Beirut in 1951 and joined the Lebanese student and organizational work. He is the coordinator of the safety net for research and strategic studies. He passed away the day before yesterday in a hospital in Damascus at the age of 70 years.
