St. Wolfgang

- “Not always Corona, Corona, Corona.

I am optimistic about the new year. ”These were the words of St. Wolfgang's Mayor Ullrich Gaigl (FW) on the municipal budget for 2021. The main and finance committee discussed this in the municipal council.

The councilors are satisfied.

If everything goes as planned, debt can be reduced significantly.

Total volume: 13.4 million euros

In the draft of the chamberlain Julia Schwarzenbeck, the administrative budget is planned with almost nine million euros, the asset budget with over 4.5 million euros with a total volume of around 13.4 million euros.

The 2020 budget had a budget of almost ten million euros.

According to Schwarzenbeck, the increase will result from the 2020 supplementary budget. This was mainly necessary because the staff was increased by one employee.

Furthermore, measures have been postponed to 2021 due to the corona.

How and whether important income in the administrative budget will change this year will have to be seen, explained Schwarzenbeck.

Effects of the Corona crisis on the local economy and thus on the community share of income tax and trade tax could "not be predicted".

The chamberlain does not expect any massive slumps because of the broad economic structure in the community.

The approaches in the budget are nevertheless "cautious".

Personnel costs increased

Personnel costs were increased to 1.9 million euros compared to 2020 (1.81 million euros) because an IT specialist was hired.

There was good news to report about the interest expenses and the development of debt: “It is being repaid diligently,” said the treasurer happily.

As a result, interest expenses have been falling for years from 1.22 million euros in 2015 to this year at an approximate rate of 23 150 euros.

This is mainly due to the expired fixation of loans, which now have significantly lower interest rates due to debt rescheduling.

The debt level for the end of the year is expected to be 2.65 million euros, at the beginning of the year it was 3.01 million euros.

"Basst", so the conclusion of Mayor Gaigl to the submitted budget.

There were hardly any change requests from the committee.

The higher household volume also results from higher land purchases.

There are plans to purchase air filter devices for the Armstorf kindergarten as well.

Investments should also be made in the formation of reserves through building society contracts, which is a sure thing.

Gaigl optimistic

According to Gaigl, he is “optimistic” that the “cautiously” set two million euros in trade tax can be achieved.

The largest business taxpayers are also affected by the Corona crisis, but not existentially.

How the income tax share will develop is still open.

That also depends on how many people have received short-time work benefits and for how long.

"We are working our way down, but there is still no standstill," said Gaigl happily about the development of the debt situation of the gold community.
