Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Said Khatibazadeh today (Wednesday) launched an attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying he was spreading "racist propaganda" and that his plot against Iran had failed.
Khatibazadeh, quoted by the Tasman News Agency, responded to Prime Minister Netanyahu's tweet, saying: "Netanyahu is angry that he lost his friend in the White House and has again spread hate-filled lies against Iran and incited to racist ironophobia."
"It must hurt him to see that all his conspiracies against Iran have failed and collapsed. From rescuing Jews throughout history to resisting the Zionist occupation, Iran has always fought against the oppressors and tyrants. History does not lie," Khatibzadeh said.
Earlier, the US news site Axis reported that the United States and Israel had begun preliminary talks on the Iranian nuclear issue in an attempt to find a formula that would provide security for Israel alongside the negotiations between Washington and Iran.
