"The police action seemed completely disproportionate to me," an eyewitness told our newspaper.
As the 38-year-old reports, she was standing with a friend (36) at the Monopteros on Monday around 7 p.m.
From there both of them observed a police operation.
The trigger for this was probably a quarrel among young people.
A boy is said to have run away from Karl-Theodor-Wiese (the large area below the Monopteros).

The officers followed the boy (around 14 years old) with two patrol cars across the meadow to the duck aviary.
Shortly before the watercourse, the officers from Munich * had almost caught up with him.
“He fell.
We were concerned that he would be hit, ”said the eyewitness.
The car stopped, the boy got up and ran on - as eyewitnesses report, probably straight through the stream.
The officers left their car to run after them - and without securing the patrol car from rolling away.
The chase then literally went down the drain: the car rolled into the water.
And was it worth it now?
"Of course we don't chase youngsters indiscriminately through the English Garden," says police spokesman Michael Marienwald.
“There were crimes that had to be cleared up.” Specifically, there had previously been disputes among several groups of young people.
Headphones and sweaters were stolen from a 15-year-old.
Young people physically attacked a 14-year-old after he did not want to hand out his valuables.
