This Monday, February 22, a newly born infant was found dead in a garbage bag in Pontoise (Val d'Oise), at the bottom of a building in the Louvrais district, north of the city.
The helpers who discovered the child's body could not do anything to save it.

The police and firefighters were alerted Monday morning, around 6 a.m., by the emergency department of the René-Dubos hospital in Pontoise.
A young woman had just introduced herself, explaining that she had abandoned her newborn baby during the night and placed it in a bag in front of her house.
The police from Cergy, near Pontoise, quickly went to the home of the young woman of 19 years.
After researching around his home, they finally discovered, next to a local trash can, the bag containing the lifeless body of the child.
The Pontoise prosecutor's office said Monday that three people were taken into custody.
The investigation is continuing to determine the exact circumstances of the events.
It was entrusted to the police officers of the departmental security of Val-d'Oise.
