The Clalit Health Fund study examined about 600,000 vaccinated people in front of a control group of a similar size, and became the first of its kind to undergo peer review and be published in a scientific journal.
The results show that the first dose prevents 62% of cases of serious illness, and after receiving the second dose, the chance of contracting the virus decreases by 94%.
