Schliersee has changed its face a little.
Two of the three trees at the Gasthof zur Post had to be felled.

- Fortunately there is still the linden tree, otherwise a central spot in Schliersee would change its impression tremendously.
The two chestnuts in the parking lot of the Gasthof Zur Post are gone.
Yesterday a specialist company felled it on behalf of Eva Skofitsch, owner of the vacant inn.
She explains: “The trees were sick.
The Lower Nature Conservation Authority has examined them twice. ”Presumably it was a failed pruning many years ago that is now killing the trees.

Then they were still there: the two trees on the left had to be removed due to illness.

The two chestnuts were standing right next to the Schliersee through-road.
The also formative linden tree remains a few meters on the same site.
The appearance of the village, as many thousands of locals and guests know it, has changed.
