The problem is always the same: Because the hiking parking lot, which is designed for twelve vehicles, is mostly occupied, drivers park on Sonnleitenweg, although there is a no stopping there.
Every gap is used, and drivers don't even stop at sloping meadows.
Hagn described the result: "The escape route is tight, there is no way for the fire brigade to get through, refuse and delivery vehicles cannot get through." Hagn recalled the previous discussions and the decision in March 2020: The city council had 7: 7 votes at that time the dissolution of the hiking car park was rejected.
A new parking area with 45 parking spaces has been available at the shooting range since December.
The city has leased the area from the royally privileged fire rifle society and laid it out properly.

The city had hoped that this new car park would defuse the situation further up on Sonnleitenweg - but that is not the case.
Hagn put two options up for debate: dissolve the Sonnleitenweg hiking car park or build a fence and charge the place with a parking fee.

Even though he described the situation there as “catastrophic”, Peter Hollerauer (FWG) did not believe in resolving it: “That does not solve the problem.
The cars will go up anyway. ”He also emphasized that the city council would have to decide and revoke its resolution first.
Manuela Brandl (BürgerListe) was in favor of dismantling the parking lot and creating a turning hammer instead.
"The parking-search traffic is bad up there," she knew, "turning almost impossible".

For Günter Allerstorfer (CSU), the safety and well-being of the residents has top priority.
“We also want more people to use public transport.
We should rather provide fewer parking spaces. ”He also found that a 500-meter walk from the new Schützen car park up to the Sonnleitenweg, where day trippers start out on further hikes, is reasonable.
Town hall chief Hagn groped his way through an opinion poll before formulating the following recommendation to the city council, which was approved against two votes: According to this, the traffic committee recommends that the parking lot on Sonnleitenweg be closed.
