Surprising images arrive from California, where this Monday almost 2,000 dolphins could be seen swimming off the coast.

In the video, taken from a fast raft by a member of the Newport Coastal Adventure agency, the huge pod of dolphins can be seen up close as they swim and jump out of the water.
