He pointed out that most of the visitors to the ambulance department with a complaint of chest symptoms confirm the speed of the development of the case they have and the severity of the symptoms, which called them to seek care in the hospital and said, “It is not necessary for all suspected cases to be corona because at this time of the year and with low temperatures, the rate of influenza infection increases. Seasonal and lung infections, and we are awaiting the results of the smears to confirm the case.

He asserted that the hospitals in various governorates are fully prepared to deal with any emergency situation and are currently working within Plan A, meaning the allocation of specific isolation beds, and in case the need arises, the transition will be made to Plan B, which is the expansion of departments for the benefit of Corona patients.

Lubna Hawija, president of the Syrian Association for Thoracic Medicine and Surgery, stated that the increase in suspected cases of infection with the Coronavirus that are reviewing hospitals and private clinics has been monitored since last Wednesday until today, and most of them were with respiratory symptoms of different degrees, as the treatment protocol was presented for cases that require admission to the hospital after performing a CT scan that It is considered a preliminary indicator of infection with Corona, pending the results of the "BCR" test.

Dr. Hawija indicated that the spread of Corona imposed a good pattern of interaction between the doctor and patients suspected of being of medium and light grade, by relying on social media, which also witnessed an increase in the request for medical consultations, stressing that this increase calls for a lot of caution and awareness of the importance of adhering to measures to prevent infection With the virus in terms of wearing the muzzle and spatial distancing, because they are the immediate weapon to deal with the virus until a vaccine is available.

Dr. Dhakak stressed the importance of adhering to the precautionary measures, especially since a good number of reviewers were from one family and their symptoms appeared suddenly, which requires increased awareness, proper application of home isolation procedures, and timely hospital care.

It is noteworthy that the first time that the Ministry of Health implemented plan “B” in hospitals was at the beginning of last December, when it asked them to stop cold operations, expand within hospital departments for the benefit of Corona patients, and apply the plan to recall staff in case of emergency and operate hospitals at maximum capacity.
