The lockdown slows the Tutuguri cultural stage.

But those responsible hope that events can take place again at the end of March.

Attenkirchen

- The “Tutuguri” cultural stage at Bachfeld, like so many other things, is stuck in lockdown.

Concerts or cabaret are out of the question for the time being, and seminars are also not possible.

Nevertheless, a program was drawn up for February to July.

But in times of Corona, the organizers have to mark one event after the other with a red cross on their homepage www.tutuguri.de.

The two February events were canceled without replacement.

But there is still hope for March.

Because giving up does not apply to Tutuguri.

What currently seems unthinkable in the traditional Bachfeld house with its almost 90 seats due to Corona, should from now on take place in the Attenkirchener Bürgersaal.

With the kind approval of the community and a corresponding hygiene concept, of course.

“There we hope and there we pray,” says Arpita Hofmann-Denk about the concert of “The Shakers Blues Band” scheduled for Saturday, March 20th at 8pm.

Together with her husband Sylvester Denk and Heiko Lange, she is one of the driving forces behind the association, which has over 80 members.

A good dozen represent the hard core, who are fully involved and always lend a hand when it comes to moving chairs, preparing everything and serving drinks.

For example, the entire furniture from the Bachfeld House was “dragged over” and the citizens' hall was “Tutuguri-like”, as Sylvester Denk reveals.

You are practically in the starting blocks, you can start immediately with the exile in the Citizens' Hall.

"We think from summit to summit," explains Sylvester Denk about the Merkel Prime Minister's Round, from which he expects the green light as soon as possible.

Then the sadness in terms of culture would finally end.

Last event in March 2020

Because on March 7, 2020, the last appearance in the Tutuguri pub took place.

The guest was the music cabaret artist Werner Meier.

The concert was sold out, and afterwards people sat with the cabaret artist for a long time, had a drink, chatted and laughed.

“As if you had suspected that this would be the last opportunity of this kind for a long time,” recalls Arpita Hofmann-Denk.

There is a little melancholy with this thought.

This feeling can be clearly seen in those involved.

Fortunately, there is an alternative.

The concept of switching to the Bürgersaal already proved its worth in autumn 2020.

Four events have already been held there with distance rules and a hygiene concept.

80 guests were allowed and all four concerts, including that of a duo from Madrid, were as good as sold out.

No wonder, the Tutuguri cultural association is a successful model.

There is a regular audience that appreciates the level and quality of the events.

The visitors come from the surrounding communities, but also from Freising and further afield.

Live music from the genres of folk, rock, blues and jazz attracts an audience that is mostly “over 50”, but is also accompanied by younger people.

The open stage is one of the highlights

Within eight years, the Attenkirchen cultural association has succeeded in creating a special flair and a special atmosphere.

One that only works live, however.

The makers are convinced of this.

"With us it only works with liveliness," emphasizes Sylvester Denk.

Heiko Lange also clearly rejects any online alternative.

"Face-to-face events" is the motto.

One of the highlights in the program is the open stage, where anyone can register and perform who dares to demonstrate their art in front of an audience.

Apparently there are enough of them, as a waiting list for the open stage shows.

According to Sylvester Denk, there are currently 18 musicians and artists of various stripes in the loop.

The next "Open Stage" is scheduled for Friday, April 9th.
