Despite everything - celebrating:

in the shadow of the Korona's restrictions, and after the government approved a night curfew on Purim last Thursday between Thursday and Sunday from 8:30 PM to 5:00 AM, Israeli children wore the best costumes this morning (Wednesday) and went out to celebrate Purim in educational settings from kindergartens to schools .

Perhaps unsurprisingly, in light of the corona year and the rise of food shipments, among the children's original costumes that could be found this year were "Walt" and "Give Bite" messengers, along with more traditional costumes like cops, unicorns, Disney princesses and more.

At the end of the school day, all students in the education system will go on holiday.

The vacation will last four days in total - so students will return to schools only on Monday.

Eight days later, seventh- through tenth-grade students are scheduled to return to school.

The "Aleh" association, which works for children with intellectual disabilities, has published exciting photos this morning of the association's children dressed in a variety of colors.

Costumes at home alone: more than 40,000 are in solitary confinement

According to data from the Ministry of Education published yesterday (Tuesday), all students sick in the education system stand at about 11,260 active verified patients, in the entire education system.

In addition, the number of students in solitary confinement has exceeded 30,000 in all age groups.

It should be noted that since the education system opened last week, the number of students entering isolation has skyrocketed.

About 20,400 students were in isolation on Monday last week when schools only opened to over 30,000 students today, as stated.

Some of the cases of isolation originate in teachers who have not been vaccinated or are due to non-observance of the rules in schools.

Purim under curfew

According to the ministers' decision, a night curfew will apply from Thursday to Sunday throughout the country.

The curfew will take effect at 20:30 in the evening and will last until 5:00 in the morning.

As part of this, it will be forbidden to stay in another person's house, and it will be forbidden to leave the house for a distance of more than a thousand meters.

In addition, the ministers decided to stop long-distance public transport altogether.

Starting Thursday at 8 p.m.

The goal is to prevent transit between cities.

However, on the exact restrictions on public transportation, a decision will be made by the Minister of Transportation, Miri Regev.

These decisions are in addition to the restrictions approved last week, which prohibit gatherings, events and parties.

The government clarified that throughout the day there should be no events that deviate from regulations regarding gatherings: 10 people in a closed space and 20 people in an open space.

In general, "Adlaide" processions, conventions, shows and more should not be held.

The Corona commissioner, Prof. Nachman Ash, told the ministers during the meeting that during the months of December-January, 1,701 verified viruses entered Israel, which resulted in the infection of 2,683 Israelis.

Therefore, Prof. Ash recommended that the isolation in the hotels be returned, less than 24 hours after the isolation obligation for those returning from abroad was abolished.

Prof. Ash also presented to the ministers that the British variant is currently responsible for 80% of the illness in Israel.

Prof. Ash also presented that after two and two weeks from the beginning of the relief, a slight increase in the infection coefficient is now identified, which currently stands at 0.86.
