The IDF recognizes an increase in the rate of severe cases among IDF servicemen who have been in Corona.

This emerges from a letter signed by the Chief Medical Officer, Brigadier General Prof. Alon Glazberg, which reached Israel Today.

The document, which was distributed on February 17, gave examples of cases of seriously ill patients among IDF servicemen, and emphasized the importance of vaccines.

In a document obtained by "Israel Hayom", signed by the Chief Medical Officer, Brigadier General Prof. Alon Glazberg, the Commander of the PLO, Col. Dr. Yuval Ran, and the Head of the Medical Services Division, Lt. Col. Dr. Liron Gershovitz, The officers refer to the decline in the number of patients in the entire State of Israel and among IDF servicers in particular.

"Most of the IDF servicemen are young and healthy, and fortunately, in the previous waves only very few of them developed a significant illness," the three wrote.

"However, it is important for us to share that we are recognizing a change in trend. In recent weeks, we have been dealing with a number of seriously ill patients among IDF servicemen, who needed respiratory support and even hospitalization in intensive care."

According to the three officers, the data show that the proportion of young corona patients in Israel is increasing, as is their relative share in intensive care units.

The letter details the three examples of corona patients in a difficult condition from the recent period.

The first patient is a healthy 25-year-old permanent man, who contracted corona and contracted a serious illness, and needed oxygen support and significant drug treatment.

Finally recovering from the disease.

Another example is a permanent woman in advanced pregnancy who contracted the corona virus and experienced a serious illness while in need of oxygen assistance.

Another example is a 19-year-old female soldier who suffered from a late complication of corona disease in which she contracted a month earlier.

She was hospitalized in the intensive care unit and her life was in danger.

"Unfortunately, there are other cases. Common to all of these cases is that they all occurred among servants who were not vaccinated," the three doctors wrote, noting: "Beyond reducing the risk of developing a serious illness, evidence is accumulating that the vaccine reduces the chance of infection."

At the end of the letter, they emphasized the "importance of immunization" and instructed to adhere to "rules of conduct that will prevent another outbreak."

As of yesterday morning, there were 728 blue-collar workers in the IDF in the IDF, and 4,295 in isolation. This is a significant decrease in the number of patients in the army, after only two weeks ago, on February 7, it stood at more than 3,270. For those vaccinated against the corona virus, ie a week has passed since the date of receiving the second vaccine dose.

By the end of next week, the IDF hopes to have about 84% of vaccinated servants.

The IDF spokesman said: "The document was published widely in order to encourage immunization among IDF servicemen and to explain that the corona is capable of harming young and healthy people - and therefore they should go and get vaccinated.

Samples of the critically ill were given to illustrate the critically ill even among healthy young people.

It should be noted that these are serious and isolated cases of illness that ended in recovery. "
