Whoever tries to vaccinate against the corona virus should pay a fine of up to 25,000 euros in future, according to the will of the Union and the SPD.

This provides for an amendment by the coalition for the law on the continued validity of the regulations on the epidemic situation of national scope, as the editorial network Germany (RND) reports.

The information was confirmed to the dpa news agency in the evening from parliamentary groups.

Accordingly, it was the SPD that pushed for such a regulation.

In the past few weeks, several cases of elected officials and other people had become known who had themselves vaccinated even though it was not yet their turn.

These included mayors, district administrators, clergymen, fire fighters and police officers.

According to the report, such violations of the vaccination ordinance should in future be classified as an administrative offense and punished accordingly.

Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) announced in mid-February that he would be examining sanctions against people who were pushing ahead.

At the time, he pointed out that the Infection Protection Act already knew sanctions such as fines.

For most of the unscheduled vaccinations, the reasons for the remaining vaccination doses have been given.

These cases have not yet been clearly regulated: the new federal vaccination ordinance also provides for exceptions to the prioritization "in individual cases", but does not contain any binding requirements for the distribution of vaccine residues.
