At about 10 p.m., a police car was parked on Sai Yeung Choi South Street in Mong Kok. Police officers pulled up an orange cordon. Pan Hao-Chao, known as the "Zhan Wang Painter," was taken to the police car. The news at the scene indicated that it was related to the breach of bail conditions.

In the anti-amendment incident the year before, a large number of demonstrators broke into the Legislative Council on July 1.
