This new case - the 17th overall in the French delegation!
- should logically result in the postponement of the match scheduled for Sunday (4 p.m.) against Scotland, at the Stade de France.
On Wednesday, the Six Nations Committee, organizer of the competition, had authorized the holding of this match but on one condition: that no new positive case in the French ranks be detected, under penalty of an immediate postponement of the meeting ( the following weekend a priori).
For its part, the Scottish government had announced that it would refuse to send its national team to Saint-Denis if the XV of France loses a new element because of Covid-19.
After two days without a positive case, the French delegation has just experienced new contamination.
And this time, the Six Nations Committee will not take any risk ... Especially since the risk of contamination is great.
The Blues having resumed collective training on Wednesday, all the players are now considered as a contact case.
