"It is again the young people of Champtier-du-Coq (Editor's note: a neighboring district of Evry-Courcouronnes) who have come, as always ..." sighs a young woman on the spot.

Several national and municipal police cars were dispatched to the scene.

About twenty police officers are present.

At 4 p.m., they surrounded about fifteen young people aged about 18, lined up in front of the Essonne clinic, rue de la Clairière.

Three brawls in four days in the department

This incident comes two days after the death of Toumani, 14, who was stabbed during a brawl between gangs in Boussy-Saint-Antoine on Tuesday.

The day before, Monday, it was Lilibelle, 14, who succumbed to her injuries in Saint-Chéron in a clash between two groups from Dourdan and Saint-Chéron.

Two cities usually spared by this type of event.

In Evry-Courcouronnes, on the other hand, inter-neighborhood clashes are regular.

The Parc des Loges maintains a rivalry with the Champtier-du-Coq, while the Pyramids oppose the Canal de Courcouronnes district.

Twenty-one years ago, in 2000, a 14-year-old teenager from the Canal died of a buckshot discharge in the context of gang warfare.
