An investigation will be opened in Amiens for "
endangering
" others, in order to "
secure
" the courtyard of a private school, affected for several months by throwing garbage and objects from the floors of the building which overhangs it, indicated the parquet floor Thursday, February 25.

On February 16, the diocesan director of Catholic education in the Somme announced the final closure, in the summer, of this private school located in the underprivileged district of Etouvie, considering that the safety of students and staff was not more guaranteed.
"
For several years, the security of the Monseigneur Cuminal primary school has continued to deteriorate, with an acceleration since the start of the September 2020 school year,
" regretted in a press release the diocesan director, Sylvie Seillier.
With four classes and located at the bottom of a public housing bar, the school "
suffers daily throwing of objects and waste of all kinds thrown from the floors
", she denounced, also deploring "
various traffics nearby, intrusions, wild occupations of the yard and rodeos near the school
”.
Opened in 1997, the establishment has been "
almost always a victim of incivility that affects not only her, but the entire district,
" said Thursday the prosecutor of the Republic of Amiens, Alexandre de Bosschère, referring to "
jets of rubbish and sometimes much more dangerous actions, such as throwing bottles or pieces of furniture
”.
If the school "
is not directly targeted
", it is located in such a way that objects fall in the courtyard, the management having "
notably reported the situation of a young girl who had received a lighted cigarette on her hair
", detailed the prosecutor.
Following a meeting organized Tuesday by the prosecution and the departmental direction of public security (DDSP) with "
all the actors concerned
", "
the direction of Catholic education has taken the decision to file a complaint
."
A judicial inquiry will therefore be opened for "
endangering the life of others
", with the objective "
of identifying one or more authors of these projections
", declared de Bosschère, judging "
that there is material to act, at least to secure the school until the end of the school year
”.
According to the press release from the diocesan direction, one of the classes and the Ulis device (localized unit for inclusive education) will be “
redeployed
” from September to other Amiens sites, the other three classes having to “
close
” permanently.
