(CNN Spanish) -
A little over two years after being put up for sale, Mexico's presidential plane still has not found a buyer.
This was recognized this Wednesday by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who said that the steps for its sale are difficult because it is a very exclusive model made to measure.
"You cannot sell the presidential plane, there it is, I take the opportunity to offer it, but we have not been able to," said the president during his usual daily morning conference.
López Obrador also announced that another 19 aircraft, airplanes and helicopters will be auctioned.
With these auctions they hope to raise at least US $ 24 million.
The attempt to sell the presidential Boeing 787 has been through offers to the general public and even a raffle.
The plane spent a year in a hangar in California and then returned to Mexico City where it continued to be offered for sale or rent.
