The police had a good nose for inspections in Gmund twice on Wednesday: in one case the driver of a Peugeot was wanted by an arrest warrant, in the other case the man checked had consumed drugs.
Gmund
- First of all, on Wednesday around 4.30 p.m., a civil strife noticed a Peugeot in Münchner Strasse in Gmund.
During the subsequent check, the officials found that the driver, a 26-year-old from the Munich district, was wanted by an arrest warrant for an administrative offense.
In order not to have to go to prison immediately, the man had to pay his outstanding fine in almost three digits on site.
According to the police report, he was then allowed to continue his journey.

Around 5 p.m., the civil investigators checked a Hyundai - also in Gmund.
The driver, a 32-year-old from the Fürstenfeldbruck district, did not have a driver's license.
This had been withdrawn from him two years ago because of drug use.
This time, too, there were indications of drug use.
A preliminary test, according to the police report, was positive for cocaine.
The 32-year-old had to endure a blood sample.
He is now facing proceedings for driving without a license and driving under the influence of drugs.
The rest of the journey home he had to start in the passenger seat.
