AstraZeneca vaccination in Bavaria: "20 to 25 percent canceled again"

So far, AstraZeneca has delivered 3000 vaccine doses to the district, half of which have already been vaccinated.
Yesterday the district administration expected another delivery of 1,400 cans.
The vaccination centers inoculate the present vaccine successively.
If it is rejected, a new appointment will be generated immediately, says a spokeswoman for the district office.

The arguments of refusers do not count for Friedrich Kiener.
The fact that people feel more side effects after an AstraZeneca vaccination, such as joint pain, chills, fever, is not due to the vaccine, but to the immune system of the vaccinated person.
They are much younger, only those under 65 get the material from AstraZeneca.
"The immune system is much stronger in younger people, so there are stronger immune responses after an injection," says the doctor.
"After a day or two, the side effects are over again."
The vaccine from AstraZeneca also prevents 94 percent hospitalization, says Gerhard Bieber from the Johannitern.
The organization operates the vaccination center in Oberhaching.
"Many vaccines before Corona were less effective," he points out.
The employees try to counter the skepticism of those affected, i.e. rescue workers, medical staff and outpatient nurses, by providing a lot of education, says Claudia Hofberger, a doctor at the Oberhachingen vaccination center.
"Death from Covid-19 is practically impossible even after an AstraZeneca vaccination", assures Kiener.

The vaccine is irrelevant for the doctor, Kiener puts it this way: No matter whether you are driving a Toyota Yaris or a Mercedes S-Class, you can reach your destination with either car.
Traffic obstructions lurk everywhere.
The goal is clear: "Protect as many people as possible from a serious Covid 19 disease".
He is now calling on politicians to allow more people to be vaccinated.
In Bavaria, primary schools and graduating classes have returned to lessons - despite stagnating corona numbers.
But headmaster Torsten Bergmühl's forecast is bleak.
