The area of the shopping center, Lindemannstrasse and Bräuhausstrasse has developed into one of the busiest traffic points in Tutzing.

A new concept should bring improvements.

Tutzing

- The Bräuhausstraße in Tutzing once led to the castle brewery, which the entrepreneur Lothar Lindemann converted into the Bavarian textile works in the 1920s.

A shopping center was built on this site, which has become one of the busiest traffic points in Tutzing.

The current regulations keep causing discussions.

In connection with the renovation of the main road, transport planner Benjamin Neudert is looking for a new solution for this area - not an easy task, as a presentation on Wednesday in the environment, energy and transport committee of the municipal council demonstrated.

A lot of traffic collides at this point.

During the renovation of the main street, a large part of the traffic from the town runs south via the narrow Bräuhausstraße, opposite the shopping center attracts a lot of traffic.

In his parking lot, the rule is right before left, but many drivers seem confused, often there is sheet metal damage.

On the busy and often fast-traveled Lindemannstrasse, several entry and exit lanes next to each other at the shopping center regularly cause uncertainty, there are all kinds of obstructions to the view, cyclists whiz past on a strip that is now clearly marked in red.

Efforts to rectify the situation can be seen in the new concept from Verkehrsplaner Neudert.

However, the details were not easy to pick out during the meeting.

Apparently, in the future, only the entrance to the shopping center should be possible from Lindemannstrasse and the exit should be via a small street east of the parking lot.

The parking lot itself is to be given a one-way system - all of this, provided the owners agree.

At the Bräuhausstrasse, the confluence with Lindemannstrasse is to be made wider and provided with a traffic island, as far as it could be seen on a sketch presented on a projector at the committee meeting.

The Schönmoosweg is apparently to be removed a little from Lindemannstraße, to which it currently leads directly, and in future will flow into Bräuhausstraße.

For cyclists, there should be a path or strip along Lindemannstraße from the new roundabout.

To the west of Bräuhausstraße, they should change to the other side of the street at the traffic island located there, so that they can continue on an existing pedestrian and cycle path.

A bus stop is planned next to the shopping center.
