Bonaccini: "Critical situation, parental leave is needed" (ANSA) From Saturday Bologna and its entire province will become 'dark orange'. This is foreseen by an ordinance that will be signed tomorrow morning by the Region and which will be in force until 14 March. From Saturday Bologna and its entire province will become 'dark orange'.

This is foreseen by an ordinance that will be signed tomorrow morning by the Region and which will be in force until 14 March.

Among the measures envisaged, stop to travel, even in the Municipality, if not for proven reasons, teaching passes entirely on the model of the red zone, with the exception of 0-3 educational services and kindergartens.

On the other hand, economic activities are not suspended, within the limits of the rules allowed in the orange band, including those for personal services.

The measure was determined by the increase in the incidence of cases (in the last week in Bologna it was 340 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants) and the increase in hospitalizations.

"Together with the mayors - Bonaccini said - and on the basis of the indications of the health authorities, we intervene to stop the spread of the infection in an area where the situation was becoming critical. We are in the presence of the third peak of the epidemic, with epidemiological data progressively worsening. A trend, according to experts, destined to strengthen, due to the presence of new variants of the virus, much faster in infections ".

The Region has asked the government to institute parental leave to help families deal with distance learning.
