You may have noticed that the original Worcestershire sauce Lea & Perrins is nowhere to be found. In all the shops where I looked for it, they said: not at the moment! Now, as an Italophile fan of Mediterranean cuisine, I am by no means an admirer of Anglo-Saxon food. But I miss this spicy sauce from the island. It is not an original British product either, but was bequeathed to the British from their colonies in Asia.

At first I thought that exports from Britain had fallen victim to Brexit.

When I asked Kraft / Heinz in London: You ran out of small bottles.
