A 17-year-old woman died in an accident with a quad.
According to the police in Middle Franconia, a 20-year-old and the young person drove on a dirt road between Finstermühle and Brunnau in the early evening around 6.30 p.m.
The vehicle went off the track and overturned in the ditch.

The 20-year-old was slightly injured, the 17-year-old suffered such serious injuries in the fall that she died at the scene of the accident.
Any rescue came too late for them.
The cause of the accident was still unclear in the evening, the public prosecutor's office asked for an expert to clarify and could therefore take further legal steps if necessary.
Since the accident occurred at dusk, the fire brigade helped illuminate the accident site about a kilometer in the forest.
Why the two were still on the road despite the advancing darkness is unclear.

Serious accidents are more common with quads.
As the ADAC writes on its website, quads have special driving characteristics that take some getting used to, especially for quad newbies.
"Bad tongues claim that quads combine the disadvantages of motorcycles with those of cars." This is why inexperienced drivers in particular often have serious accidents.
"Experience is particularly important when driving a quad," says the ADAC.
Small quads with a maximum displacement of 50 cubic centimeters and a top speed of 45 km / h are allowed to be used by young people aged 16 and over, because an AM driving license is sufficient for this.
