The Higher Education Council agreed to extend the registration period for new students registered in universities for the academic year 2020-2021 until the fifteenth of next March as a deadline, and registration is not extended after this date.
In another decision, the council agreed during its meeting today not to load students hosted in universities upon returning to their home universities more than 6 courses, calling on universities to form specialized technical committees to study the issue of awarding courses for their hosted students upon their return to the mother university.
According to the decision, every student who was assigned more than six courses before the issuance of this decision demands six courses only, and the student who succeeded in part of these courses that he was assigned to in the asymmetric course cycle is assigned the remaining courses of no more than six courses.
During its meeting today, the council also discussed the reality of the colleges of nursing and health sciences and reconsidered the study plans and curricula in them, stressing the need to focus on the aspect of training students in hospitals, describing the work of graduates, and forming a committee to study this topic.
