British police said today (Thursday) that they are examining a letter recently received as part of an investigation into the disappearance of one of the Dubai ruler's daughters in the kingdom.

Cambridge police said they were examining the letter, from February 2018, as part of an investigation into previous investigations into the disappearance of Princess Massa in 2000.

The police investigation comes after a court in the kingdom ruled last year that Dubai ruler Muhammad bin Rashid al-Maktoum planned Her forced return home.

The judges also found that Shamsa's younger sister, Latifa, the daughter of a Dubai ruler from another marriage, suffered a similar fate after being arrested at sea by Indian forces and returned against her will to Dubai in 2018.

She has not been seen in public since.

Latifa's fate received renewed attention last week, after the BBC network released a video in which she claimed she was captive and feared for her life.

According to the BBC, Latifa is the one who sent the letter in 2018, in which she asked the police to re-investigate her sister's disappearance.

Cambridge police said the case was "very complicated and serious", adding that they were examining the latest content published on the BBC to "identify if it included anything of importance to our case".

Following the new video of the drop, the UN Commission on Human Rights called on the United Arab Emirates to provide evidence of the 35-year-old princess alive. The royal family of Dubai, one of seven emirates that make up the state, said she was "treated at home."

Investigation into the disappearance of mass , Who was then 19, was closed after police concluded there was not enough evidence to take further action.Another examination in 2017 ended in the same conclusion, but local police were forced to resume the investigation following a court decision last March.
