"Forbes" released the list of Hong Kong's richest people in the new year. The wealth of Hong Kong's richest people rose by 7.5% from last year to US$331 billion (HK$2.58 trillion).
Among them, Li Ka-shing, the founder of the Changhe Department, regained the top spot in Hong Kong's rich list. His net worth increased by 20% year-on-year to US$35.4 billion (approximately HK$276.12 billion).
Lee Shau Kee, the founder of Henderson Land (0012) and known as the "Four Uncles", ranked first last year, and dropped one place to second this year, with a net worth of US$30.5 billion (approximately HK$237.9 billion); New World Development (0017) Chairman Zheng Jiachun Ze Ranked third with US$22.1 billion (approximately HK$172.4 billion).
