Aedes

aegypti,
albopictus, japonicus
and
koreicus)
have settled in urban settings on the continent after arriving, among other strategies, through the trade in used tires or live plants.
They take advantage of any accumulation of water to reproduce and have found a favorable environment for their proliferation.
