One day after her 25th birthday, Kira Weidle showed her class again.
In the second training session for the World Cup downhill in Val di Fassa (Italy), the racer from the Starnberg Ski Club finished fourth.
Starnberg - In the first training session on Wednesday, Kira Weiidle had to be content with 14th place.
On Thursday, however, the 25-year-old showed again that she is one of the favorites for the World Cup downhill in Val di Fassa.
She landed in 4th place.
On Thursday, the World Cup silver medalist was 0.46 seconds behind the fastest in training, Breezy Johnson (USA).
In second place (Ramona Siebenhofer / AUT) she was missing 23 hundredths, in third place (Marie-Michele Gagnon / CAN) it was two tenths.
So the chances of finishing third in her career in the World Cup are good.
On Friday, the first descent will start at 11.45 a.m., it is the replacement race for the descent from Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which was canceled due to the bad weather.
The second descent will take place on Saturday (11 a.m.), followed by a Super-G on Sunday (11 a.m.).
The races in Val di Fassa are the last before the World Cup final in Lenzerheide (Switzerland), which will take place from March 17th to 21st.
