Defense Minister Benny Gantz confirmed today (Thursday) the choice made by helicopter CH53K "Lockheed Martin" new assault transport helicopter of the army, as published in Walla! News. Now the decision to move to the ministerial committee for equipment.



The recommendation to the Chief of Staff submitted a model helicopter Aviv Stars and Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Eshel, as part of the multi-year program "Tnufa". The new helicopter will replace the storm helicopters used by the Air Force since the late 1960s.
