"The Israeli government is using the Holocaust for political purposes and to justify the occupation of another people," MK Haiba said today (Thursday).

"Of course I do not agree with the place where Abtisam is in the Labor Party as a Zionist party. I think it should be somewhere else," the Balad MK said regarding the number 7 candidate in the Labor Party, Abtisam Mara'ana-Menuchin. Maraana expressed support for the joint list and anti-Zionist positions.

So at least two candidates for the next Knesset will not stand at the siren on Holocaust Day.

Asked if she was standing by a siren on Holocaust Day, MK Yazbek said: "The truth is that this is an important and interesting issue that arises.

"We do not stand by the siren of the Holocaust because it is a universal crime and the Israeli government is trying to turn it into a political-Israeli matter - and it is not."

Yazbek stressed that this is a "terrible crime, but what I am trying to explain is that the government is trying to use this crime for political purposes, which will serve the state and the government."

MK Karin Elharar, this week: "The joint also recognizes Israel as Jewish and democratic"
